Master Class 2022

On November 9, 2022, we had the pleasure of welcoming in our facilities two 3D modeling student classes from Vale do Rio School to attend the Natstone Master Class. The students we’re given the opportunity to learn about the entire natural stone transformation process, from the moment the solid stone block arrives to the factory all the way to the final product, ready to be delivered to the customer..

Accompanied by professors/architects Hugo Ferraz, Rui Oliveira and Vítor Pardal Simões, the students witnessed the technological process that involves the creation and modeling of stone pieces in real time, as well as the artisanal and manual methods for the final finishes.
During the first morning hours, the Natstone team accompanied the group inside the factory, explaining and demonstrating all the stages of transforming the stone in its raw state up to the transport of each individual piece.

UNIVERSO N Showroom

After a coffee break, they headed to the Universo N Showroom, an essential part of Natstone’s Innovation and Development department, where they observed the collection of national and exotic stones, as well as some of the company’s long history most iconic pieces. Finally, they had a meeting with the head of architecture, Diogo Malanho, a moment where the students took the opportunity to ask some questions and discussed the new challenges of 3D modeling in the natural stone industry.

At the end of the Master Class, the group left with a new perception of the innovative and experimental approaches that Natstone tries to imprint in the world of stone, both in the dimension of sustainability and concern for the environment, as well as in the way 3D design is applied in the national industry.
